The Microsoft IT Academy program enables academic institutions like the AxisCentre at Castle College to provide students with access to high quality official Microsoft courses as part of their education.
Our IT Academy courses use the official academic curriculum provided to us by Microsoft and are fully trainer led meaning that you have access to a Microsoft qualified instructor throughout the course. We aim to provide a professional environment with a business focus to all students that attend our courses.

Microsoft Office Specialist
By successfully completing any one of the following exams, students gain the Microsoft Office Specialist certification at the Core level:
- Microsoft Word 2003 (Core)
- Microsoft Excel 2003 (Core)
- Microsoft Powerpoint 2003
- Microsoft Access 2003
- Microsoft Outlook 2003
Microsoft Office Expert
By successfully completing any one of the following exams, students gain the Microsoft Office Specialist certification at the Expert level:
- Microsoft Word 2003 (Expert)
- Microsoft Excel 2003 (Expert)
Note: It is *not* a prerequisite to complete the Core level certification before taking the Expert certification.Microsoft Office Master
By successfully completing four of the following exams, students gain the Microsoft Office Master certification:
- Microsoft Powerpoint 2003*
- Microsoft Word 2003 (Expert)*
- Microsoft Excel 2003 (Expert)*
- Microsoft Access 2003
