Did you enjoy the course?
Really enjoyed it.
What aspects you enjoyed the most?
The use of colour and the drawing aspect of Photoshop, and the little talks on design!.
Anything you didn't enjoy?
The cut-outs! - though obviously it's necessary to learn them to use the programme. .
Did you learn the skills you needed?
Broadly speaking yes.
What were the highlights of what you learned?
Strangely, rulers and guides were brilliant - I have spent so long in the past fidldling around trying line things up and now it's all done for me....
Did anything hinder your learning?
No.
In what ways are you beginning to think differently?
I have an understanding of what layers are, and of how the Photoshop components fit together on screen and how you can manipulate them. It has also altered how I would design a poster or leaflet as I am beginning to see design and layouts in a very different light..
Will you be applying your new skills?
Yes definitely.
When are you likely to apply your new skills?
Within a month.
What are your short term plans for applying the learning? (1-12 weeks)
At work, to put together psters and publicity material for our department, which is a medical research department and therefore has different requirements from commercial work; at home, to improve the family snapshots! .
What are your long term plans for applying the learning? (13+ weeks)
As above. At work, particularly, we are keen to promote what we do, both to further the public's understanding of our work and to recruit volunteers for our experiemnts, so laying out this sort of material is likely to become increasingly important. .
What difference is the course likely to make to you or your business?
Reasonable difference, things moving in the right direction.
