AxisCentre - Castle College
Established in 1996 originally as CNCC, Axis is one of the UK's most successful Centres established with the help of the UK Competitiveness fund. Today, Axis forms part of Castle College's business facing provision with an impressive history of partnerships within industry.
The result of this has seen Axis involved in the delivery of Microsoft network training to IT technical staff and collaboration in the development of over 550 websites and ecommerce solutions.
In 2000, Axis became a Microsoft IT Academy allowing the delivery of Microsoft's own official curriculum courseware. The success of the IT Academy has been phenomenal with Microsoft Certified Professional status being achieved by over 90% of all delegates studying at the Centre. Previous customers have included technical staff from companies such as Siemens, Toyota, City Hospital, Nottingham Chamber of Commerce, Broxtowe and Gedling Borough Council and Hanlon Computer Solutions.
Axis were innovators of the 'WebMaster' programme for small business online trading, developed and delivered for the ESF, LSC Nottinghamshire, GNTEC and The Prince's Trust. The project proved extremely successful in assisting business growth and spawned a number of additionally funded web projects in collaboration with local businesses. Building on these experiences, our trainers are able to provide in depth knowledge of the latest web design tools and ecommerce strategies.
Today Axis sits proudly within the newly developed Pearson Building on the evolving Beeston campus of Castle College. The team consists of business focused professionals who have industry experience in their related fields and are always happy to provide on-site or distance technical support and consultancy.
