Did you enjoy the course?
Really enjoyed it.
What aspects you enjoyed the most?
That the course both delved into the nuts and bolts of XHTML sufficiently for me to be able to begin to use those technologies in practice AND ALSO gave an overview of how those technologies fit into the web more generally..
Anything you didn't enjoy?
No. - Well the teeth gnashing frustration which occurs when elements shoot around one's screen wholly out of control. I DO NOT blame the course for this! .
Did you learn the skills you needed?
Broadly speaking yes.
What were the highlights of what you learned?
Begiining to get to get control over the process of laying pages out with HTML/CSS..
Did anything hinder your learning?
Lack of familiarity caused me to start from a lower base than other delegates - but support on the course was sufficient to cater for delegates at different levels..
In what ways are you beginning to think differently?
To see ways of using the web as a medium for information I produce in work, and to begin the process of gaining proficiency with the relevant tools..
Will you be applying your new skills?
Yes definitely.
When are you likely to apply your new skills?
Within a week.
What are your short term plans for applying the learning? (1-12 weeks)
Developing web sites for my own business and also for two other businesses..
What are your long term plans for applying the learning? (13+ weeks)
To explore how the web can be an effective marketing tool for me personally (process consultancy), and also to explore how web skills can enable me to develop/redirect the services I provide to my clients..
What difference is the course likely to make to you or your business?
Big difference, skills gap significantly addressed.
Your general comment on likely business benefit:
Too early to say. I believe/hope that web development skills complement my portfolio of skills and could lead to profound benefits..
