Course Outline
Developed and delivered by Bryan Steel, former Olympic and World Championship medal winning cyclist.
Based on the planning techniques used by current Olympic athletic movement, this short fast paced course offers businesses and professionals all the tips, tactics and techniques to plan, set goals and measure your performance more effectively.
How does it work? We explore the parallels between success at the highest levels in sport and in business. How unfocused aspiration can be turned into success in attaining your own goals, and how the same simple evaluation, goal setting and planning techniques can help achieve business and career objectives.
We challenge you not to improve your performance in business or your career in short AND long term with this rare opportunity.
Delegates can also gain professional qualification credits towards a 60 credit University Certificate of Professional Development or degree from De Montfort University.
This module is worth 10 UCPD credits.

Course Overview
The course covers the following areas :
Part 1 - Develop your Vision - For the business to understand in which at direction they are travelling and to design a clear vision for the business. Discover and share the business current vision. Design a mission statement and clear aims and objectives for the business or career. Enable the business to communicate the vision to the outside world.
Part 2 - Establish the Baseline - Evaluation of where the business is in the current market and to set roles and responsibilities as level from where to moves forward. A landscape of the businesses market and an understanding of clear roles within the business. Design a roles structure and pathways and develop and set clear responsibilities within the business roles.
Part 3 - Evaluate, set goals and plan - The business has understanding are where they currently are and the also have a vision. The business are now ready to set short term goals and to make short term plans to achieve there vision. Learn to evaluate, set goals and make plan profiles. Understand goal setting modal of dream, outcome and process goals. Evaluate current process goals and set goal then design and communicate an action plan for the coming short term goals.

2. Understand the differences between dream & vision, goals & objectives, tactics & strategy
3. Be clear about your own business or career goals and be able to communicate these clearly
4. Have developed and be able to communicate a clear action plan to achieve your goals
Who is it aimed at?
The course is particularly suitable for business owners, entrepreneurs, markets and business managers. This course is for people looking for a different approach in developing a better business model though a well proven results driven work of Olympic standard sport.

Entry requirements
There are no formal qualifications required to attend this course. Delegates should have some basic intentions to achieve something in their career or business and be interested in exploring the commercial application of success planning techniques used in contemporary elite sports.
Delivery method
The course is a 3 day fully trainer led course & workshop delivered in small groups by Bryan Steel, former Olympic athlete. To help reduce the effect on your business of losing a member of staff for 3 days, this course runs 1 day a week over 3 weeks. Delegates then have the time needed to absorb and implement the information gained during these intensive training days.
