Student comment : A very good grounding in web text writing and site structure - even the 'average' scores above were quite good!...

Did you enjoy the course?

Yes on the whole.

What aspects you enjoyed the most?

Discussions and exchange of ideas with others. Presentation at the end..

Anything you didn't enjoy?

Not particularly - although trying to translate the 'course learnings' into the rather unusual business I am involved in was frustrating at times.

Did you learn the skills you needed?

Broadly speaking yes.

What were the highlights of what you learned?

Much better overview of web philosophy and general impact of the web.

Did anything hinder your learning?

Being a non-techie in web terms (I write and publish things to do with food science), I sometimes had trouble translating the jargon to 'real' languague.

In what ways are you beginning to think differently?

Web selling is only subtly different to other types of selling - so the course has helped generally in thinking about marketing techniques.

Will you be applying your new skills?

Yes definitely.

When are you likely to apply your new skills?

Within a week.

What are your short term plans for applying the learning? (1-12 weeks)

Alreday done - writing text for our new web site .

What are your long term plans for applying the learning? (13+ weeks)

Using different techniques in different situations - not just because one is more suitable, but just to vary the style and message of the text to create interest.

What difference is the course likely to make to you or your business?

Modest difference and change anticipated.

Your general comment on likely business benefit:

They will be subtle and general in the main, but the course showed what the basic aim of our website should be. We already new much of this, but it enabled us to press on with more confidence!.
