Day 1 – Understanding & positioning
How money is made online (successful business models & case studies)
Positioning the business to succeed online (Web 2.0, Long Tail theory)
Defining your message (target, segment, positioning. Google key phrases)
Establishing a good understanding of the web and opportunities available to self employed or SMEs, this first day outlines successful business models online, positions the business and identifies messages. It covers Web 2.0, the groundbreaking Long-tail theory and classic marketing theory, and validates phrases and Google traffic levels.
Day 2 - Creating content that converts
Auditing and improving your site (Practical site improvement insights)
Persuasive web copy writing (persuasion techniques & writing workshop)
Creating & editing video for web (filming, editing, uploading onto your site)
Providing an insight into professional content development, day 2 explores your sites’ potential failure points through simple trust and content audits and uses Eyetracker research to identify layout improvements, written content writing, and practical video production including establishing a YouTube channel and embedding video into your website.
Day 3 – Increasing traffic to the site
Search Engine Optimisation (how to optimise your site and plan for page 1 positioning)
Profitable paid search - How to make money using Google Adwords
Making it a reality (your eMarketing plan & measuring your success)
Shifting the focus from improving the site to driving greater numbers of visitors through search, this final day covers Search Engine Optimisation including site tweaks and link building, plus how to establish good decisions in paid search (Adwords). The session finishes by assembling action points from each of the 3 days themes; positioning, content and traffic building.
